Ohio woman arrested after stabbing, pouring grease on man

OHIO — An Ohio woman has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly kidnapping and torturing a man.

Indiolla Howell, 36, of Toledo, was taken into custody on Friday and faces charges of kidnapping while attempting to terrorize or inflict harm, aggravated arson, felonious assault, and aggravated menacing, according to court and jail records.

An affidavit filed in Toledo Municipal Court states that Howell used a sharp instrument to stab and slice the victim across his face, head, arms, and torso.

She is also accused of pouring hot grease on him, striking him with a metal pan, and lighting a coat on fire to drip burning embers on the victim.

“The victim told officers that this assault went on for half an hour,” the affidavit says.

The victim’s condition has not been released. Howell remains in custody at the Lucas County Jail as the investigation continues.
