OHIO — An 81-year-old woman from Delphos was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday night, according to the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Ridge Road in Marion Township, Allen County.
Investigators say Irma Kill was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu westbound when her vehicle veered off the north side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Emergency responders from the Delphos Fire Department treated Kill at the scene before transporting her to Mercy Health-St.
Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, where she was later pronounced dead.
Authorities reported that Kill was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Delphos Police Department, Delphos Fire Department, and Big Daddy’s Towing.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident and reminds all drivers to wear properly adjusted seatbelts.
