OHIO — A Lakewood High School student was arrested Thursday after making threats that led to a “modified lockdown” at the school, officials said.
According to Lakewood City Schools, the lockdown began around 10:15 a.m. and lasted for about two hours while police investigated the threats.
During that time, students and staff followed safety protocols as authorities worked to assess the situation.
Lakewood Police confirmed that an adult male student was taken into custody in connection with the threats.
However, no charges have been filed yet.
The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
