Ohio school placed on lockdown after unknown person enters building

OHIO — Westbrooke Village Elementary School in Trotwood was placed on lockdown Monday morning after reports of an unknown person entering the building, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

The incident was reported around 9:30 a.m. at the school located on Westford Road.

Authorities say there were a few students inside at the time.

Police are actively searching the building for the individual.

No injuries have been reported, and the identity of the person involved has not been confirmed.

The lockdown remains in effect as a precaution while the investigation continues.
