Ohio school crossing guard struck by vehicle

OHIO — A school crossing guard was struck by a vehicle while assisting students at an intersection near Franklin Junior High School on Friday morning.

According to Franklin City Schools, the incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. as the guard was ensuring students crossed the street safely.

The guard, identified only as a female, was transported to Atrium Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.

No students were injured in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle was cited, and the incident remains under investigation.

The school district is urging drivers to remain vigilant, follow traffic laws, and use extreme caution in school zones.
