OHIO — Several schools across Northeast Ohio have announced closures and schedule changes for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, citing illness and operational concerns, according to school officials.
In Cuyahoga County, Corpus Christi Academy will remain closed through Thursday, extending an earlier closure. Luther Memorial is also closed Thursday due to illness, officials said.
In Medina County, Hinckley Preparatory Academy announced it will be closed for the day on Thursday.
In Lorain County, Lorain Bilingual Academy will be closed Thursday as well.
Meanwhile, in Lake County, St. Gabriel Faith Formation/Parish School of Religion has cancelled its Parish School of Religion (PSR) classes for Thursday. No other school-day cancellations were announced for the parish.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor communications from their schools for updates regarding reopening plans or additional schedule changes. Families should also make alternate arrangements for childcare and transportation as needed while closures and cancellations remain in effect.
