OHIO — Several school districts and education-related programs across Ohio announced closings, delays, and cancellations for Tuesday, December 16, 2025, as districts adjust schedules in response to conditions affecting travel and operations.
A number of school systems will be closed for the day, including Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools, Circleville City Schools, Fairfield Union Local Schools, Liberty Union-Thurston Local Schools, Maysville Local Schools, Morgan Local Schools, New Lexington City Schools Vinton County Local Schools, Jackson County Schools, Marietta City Schools, Noble Local Schools, Oak Grove Christian School, OVESC School, Parkersburg Academy, and Ewing School.
Earth Temple and several community and education centers, including the Pickaway Senior Center and the Pioneer Center, are also closed.
Several districts will operate on a two-hour delay, including Coshocton City Schools, East Muskingum Local Schools, Jackson City Schools, Newcomerstown Exempted Village Schools, Wellston City Schools, Valley View Local Schools, Belpre City Schools, and North Christian School.
Cancellations were announced for Coshocton County Early Head Start, Coshocton County Head Start, Foxfire Community Schools, Northern Local Schools, Southeastern Local School District in Chillicothe, and Union-Scioto Local Schools. Clark-Shawnee Local Schools reported no evening activities Tuesday.
