Ohio school closings and delays for Monday

OHIO — Several schools across Ohio announced closures and delays on Monday due to weather-related conditions. Fairlawn Village Preschool and Summit School were among those fully closed for the day.

A number of districts implemented delayed start times. The Ada Exempted Village School District in Hardin County reported a two-hour delay, as did Ridgemont Local Schools in the same county. In Union County, both Fairbanks Local Schools and Marysville Exempted Village Schools delayed classes for two hours.

Madison County saw multiple districts adjusting schedules. Jefferson Local Schools, Jonathan Alder Schools, London City Schools, Madison-Plains Local Schools, and Tolles Career and Technical Center each announced two-hour delays.

Miami Trace Local Schools in Fayette County also delayed the start of school by two hours.

Additional delays were reported elsewhere in the state. Brookhill Center opened one hour late, while Eastwood, Monclova Christian, Sleek Academy, and Woodmore schools each began the day on a two-hour delay. Ridgemont was also listed among schools with a two-hour delay in separate regional listings.

School officials advise parents and students to check district websites and social media pages for the most up-to-date information as conditions may change.
