PENNSYLVANIA — The Beaver County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene of a fatal crash early Sunday morning along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the Beaver Valley area.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes near the Careywood and Shenango intersection around 2 a.m., according to PennDOT’s 511 website.
County dispatchers said it was unclear how many vehicles were involved, but a semi-truck is believed to have been part of the crash.
The Beaver County Coroner identified the victim as 35-year-old Abdirahman Farah of Ohio. His death has been ruled accidental.
Traffic in the area was restricted to one lane for several hours while crews investigated. Both lanes have since reopened.
