One person dead following two-vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — Authorities have released more details about a fatal two-car crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old man and injured another driver on Wednesday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Logan Alexander Etterling, 18, of Portsmouth.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred just before 2:45 p.m. on state Route 139, south of Rubyville, near Maple Benner Road.

Troopers say Etterling’s car, traveling northeast, went left of center and collided with a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old Portsmouth man.

The other driver was transported to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. His condition has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
