OHIO – Ohio has been ranked as one of the worst states in the U.S. in the latest “Best States” list for 2024, released by U.S. News & World Report.
The state was placed 36th out of the 50 states, making it the 15th lowest-rated state in the country.
The rankings were determined by analyzing thousands of data points across multiple categories, including states’ economies, infrastructure, public safety, natural environment, opportunities, and government fiscal stability.
Some categories were given more importance in the rankings, with health care and education receiving the most weight, followed by economies, infrastructure, and opportunities.
Ohio’s overall ranking was dragged down by its poor performance in several key categories.
