OHIO — One Ohio police department is hiring new officers and offering competitive salaries and benefits. The starting patrol salary is $84,357.83 per year ($40.56 per hour), with top patrol salaries reaching $100,316.89 ($48.22 per hour) after four years.
The Solon Police Department is actively seeking new officers.
Officers work 12-hour shifts with every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off. Benefits include 144 hours of paid holiday leave, two to six weeks of vacation, paid sick leave, and medical, dental, and vision plans.
The department also provides a $1,500 yearly uniform allowance, education reimbursement, and extensive training opportunities.
Specialized assignments include SWAT, K9, detective work, drone operations, and crisis intervention. The department also features a fully functional correctional facility.
