Ohio murder suspect arrested by U.S. Marshals

OHIO — A man accused of killing a woman in Cleveland last year was arrested in Houston on Thursday, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

John Booth, 47, was taken into custody by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force.

He is charged with aggravated murder in connection to the death of 45-year-old Tosha Williams.

Williams was found dead in her Cleveland home on March 13, 2024, by her 9-year-old child.

Authorities said she had suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.

Investigators later determined that Booth was responsible for the killing and had fled to Houston.

His arrest ends a months-long search.
