Ohio man wins $1,000 a day for life through lottery

OHIO — A Powhatan Point man is celebrating a life-changing win after hitting the top prize in the November 18, 2024, Lucky for Life drawing.

Mike purchased the winning ticket at Tom’s Carry Out, located at 329 State Route 7 North in Powhatan Point. His ticket matched all five white balls — 4, 9, 10, 28, and 29 — plus the Lucky Ball, which was 1.

The prize, $1,000 a day for life, was offered with the option of a lump-sum payment.

Mike opted for the cash option of $5,750,000 and will receive $4,140,000 after mandatory state and federal taxes.

Lucky for Life is a multi-state draw game with drawings held nightly.

The Ohio Lottery, which oversees the game, has contributed more than $32 billion to education since its inception in 1974.
