Ohio man sentenced for stabbing at convenience store

OHIO — A Troy man has been sentenced to prison for stabbing another man near a carry-out on Union Street earlier this year.

Michael McBride Sr., 45, was sentenced to 14 months in prison and up to two years of post-release supervision, according to Miami County Common Pleas Court records.

The incident occurred on August 20, when McBride stabbed a man in the back following an argument near the carry-out.

McBride pleaded guilty in November to one count of aggravated assault as part of a plea agreement.

Authorities have not released additional details about the victim’s condition following the stabbing.
