OHIO — Ontario M. Yarbrough, 26, of Columbus, was sentenced to 135 months in federal prison for his role in a narcotics conspiracy involving kilogram quantities of drugs being mailed from Arizona to Columbus.
Between April and October 2023, Yarbrough received at least five packages containing narcotics and tracked nine additional packages sent from Arizona to Columbus via the U.S. Postal Service, according to court documents.
He operated from a property on South Burgess Avenue in Columbus, where he repackaged and distributed the drugs.
One intercepted package was found to contain approximately half a kilogram of fentanyl.
A search of Yarbrough’s home uncovered fentanyl, cocaine, and firearms.
He was arrested in October 2023 and pleaded guilty in May 2024 to conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Damoun Delaviz. Kenneth L. Parker, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, and Lesley Allison, Inspector in Charge for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Pittsburgh Division, announced the sentence, which was handed down on Nov. 12 by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Sarah D. Morrison.
