Ohio man dies following go-kart crash

DAYTON — An 18-year-old man has died following a go-kart crash in Dayton on Monday evening.

Police and emergency responders were called to the 1100 block of Kemper Avenue just before 6 p.m. after reports of the accident.

According to a spokesperson for the Dayton Police Department, Lucas Hamilton was driving a go-kart through a residential neighborhood when he collided with the back of a parked pickup truck.

Hamilton was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Dayton Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit is currently investigating the crash to determine further details surrounding the incident.
