OHIO — A Toledo man is facing charges after allegedly attacking a pregnant woman and forcing her to remain confined in a bedroom.
Luis Bahena, 29, was arrested Wednesday morning at a residence in the 2600 block of Idaho Street.
According to police, officers responded to the home after family members of the victim reported she was being held against her will.
When officers arrived, they were unable to get the victim to answer the door and were forced to enter the home, where they took Bahena into custody.
Investigators say Bahena had prevented the victim from leaving the bedroom when he was not home and had placed a camera in the room to monitor her movements.
The victim also told police that Bahena had assaulted her with a belt, leaving visible injuries.
Three small children were found in the home, which officers described as “uninhabitable.” The police report noted that the house had no running water.
Bahena has been charged with abduction and domestic violence.
