OHIO — A New Year’s Day altercation at the Omelett Shoppe on East 7th Street resulted in one man being taken into custody by deputies with the Wood County, WV Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to a report of a fight at the restaurant and spoke with a witness, who pointed them to a man sitting in a van in the parking lot.
The man, identified as Antonio Ricardo Foster, 42, of Cincinnati, Ohio, had a cut and bruise on his temple.
Foster told deputies he was not assaulted but had fallen down a ramp outside a bar he had left earlier.
A background check revealed Foster had an active warrant from Meigs County, Ohio, for possession of methamphetamine and trafficking in methamphetamine.
Foster was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge and transported to the Holding Center for processing.
