OHIO — The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a wrong-way driver on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Highway Patrol, Trent Clark, 31, of Waynesburg, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox south in the northbound lane of state Route 43 when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2020 Chevrolet Blazer.
The crash occurred just after 1 p.m. near Waynesburg Drive SE.
Clark was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders, the Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The driver of the Blazer, a 55-year-old woman from Amsterdam, Ohio, and her male passenger were transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
