OHIO — A 28-year-old Salineville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Columbiana County.
The accident occurred at 7:10 p.m. on state Route 39 near the intersection with state Route 164.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a white 2013 Volkswagen Jetta traveling northeast on state Route 39 veered left of center, striking a traffic sign before crossing onto state Route 164.
The car then traveled off the left side of the roadway, hitting an embankment and a tree.
The driver, Dalton Cunningham, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Columbiana County Coroner.
Authorities confirmed he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
