OHIO — The Columbiana County Coroner’s Office has identified the victims in a murder-suicide that occurred early Friday morning.
Eric Mills, 48, and Lorie Klie, 61, were found dead from gunshot wounds inside a home on the 1100 block of Parkwood Drive, according to authorities.
Liverpool Township Police responded to the residence shortly after 12:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 hang-up call.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that Klie, who was bedridden, was unsure if the door was unlocked. She reported that Mills was breaking items in the home and that she wanted him to leave.
Officers found the door unlocked and entered the home, where they discovered both individuals deceased.
Following an investigation by the Columbiana County Prosecutor’s Office and the Coroner’s Office, officials determined the incident to be an apparent murder-suicide.
The case remains under investigation.
