OHIO — A tragic family dispute resulted in the death of Daniel H. Davis, 54, after his 22-year-old son, Daniel H. Davis Jr., shot him on Monday night, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred in the 5600 block of W. Monroe-Concord Road at approximately 6:54 p.m. Emergency responders transported Mr. Davis to Miami Valley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Authorities have identified the shooter as Daniel H. Davis Jr., who is currently in Miami County Jail facing charges of aggravated murder.
Chief Deputy Steve Lord confirmed the charges and stated that the case will be presented to the Miami County Prosecuting Attorney for further review.
Initial investigations suggest that the fatal shooting stemmed from an argument between the father and son.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
