OHIO — A Monroe County woman is in custody following an overdose incident involving a person under her care on Tuesday, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to an emergency call from a residence near Clarington, where they found an unresponsive male.
Officers administered Narcan and performed CPR before Wetzel County EMS transported the man to a local hospital. He was later airlifted to Ruby Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Following the incident, deputies questioned the man’s caretaker, identified as Lacy Richter.
A search of the residence uncovered various drugs, leading to Richter’s arrest.
Richter was transported to the Monroe County Jail and now faces a series of charges, including drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence, obstruction of justice, possession of drug abuse instruments, permitting drug abuse, and conveyance of contraband into a correctional facility.
The condition of the overdose victim has not been disclosed.
