WEST VIRGINIA — More than 30 people have been arrested following a county-wide warrant roundup conducted by local and federal law enforcement.
According to a press release, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the United States Marshals CUFFED Task Force to carry out the operation on Feb. 18, 2026. The initiative resulted in 38 arrests across the Mercer County area on a variety of charges.
Officials said those taken into custody were wanted on offenses ranging from domestic-related charges and larceny to drug, fraud, and traffic-related violations, among others.
Authorities noted that additional individuals may still turn themselves in as deputies continue following up on contacts and residences that were checked during the operation.
Law enforcement emphasized that all individuals arrested or charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
