INDIANA — A power outage affected more than 1,000 Indiana Michigan Power customers in Fort Wayne on Wednesday afternoon, according to the utility’s outage map.

As of 1:55 p.m., multiple areas across the city were without electricity. Outages reported near Waynedale and the Fort Wayne International Airport were resolved by 4:24 p.m.

By 4:28 p.m., a second outage remained under assessment, with Indiana Michigan Power evaluating the affected areas. The company has not yet provided an estimated restoration time.

It remains unclear whether strong winds contributed to the outages.
