(OHIO STATEWIDE) — Nearly 20 Cleveland ISD students were hospitalized Tuesday morning after a collision involving two school buses near Cleveland, TX Middle School.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 105 and Highway 321.
While the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation, 17 students were transported to the hospital as a precaution, according to Click2Houston.
All injuries sustained in the collision were described as minor.
In a social media update, Cleveland ISD assured families that the district was prioritizing the safety of its students.
Students who were cleared of serious injuries were taken to Cleveland Middle School, where they are being monitored by the school’s nursing staff.
The district is continuing to investigate the incident and has maintained open communication with the families of those affected.
No major injuries have been reported.
