Multiple schools in West Virginia dismissing early Thursday

WEST VIRGINIA — Schools in multiple West Virginia counties are dismissing early on Thursday, February 6, 2025, due to flooding concerns.

Webster County Schools will close three hours early as rising waters pose a potential risk.

Wyoming County Schools will also dismiss students early as a precaution.

High schools will release at 10:30 a.m., while elementary and middle schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.

Officials cited the threat of flooding as the reason for the schedule change.

Parents and guardians are advised to plan accordingly and monitor local updates for any further changes.
