Multiple schools in Ohio announce closures for Tuesday

OHIO — Several schools across Ohio have announced closures for Tuesday, affecting institutions in multiple counties. Some districts, including Akron Public Schools and Bay Village City Schools, have extended closures through Wednesday.

In Summit County, Akron Preparatory School, Arlington Christian Academy, Case Preparatory Academy, Cuyahoga Falls City Schools, Imagine Akron Academy, Imagine Leadership Academy, Nordonia Hills City Schools, Norton City Schools, Revere Local Schools, Spring Garden Waldorf Schools, St. Hilary, St. Mary (Akron), Stow-Munroe Falls Schools, Streetsboro City Schools, Summit Academy Akron Middle School, Summit Academy-Akron Secondary, and Twinsburg City Schools will be closed.

Cuyahoga County closures include Alpha Care Cuyahoga, Assumption-Broadview Heights, Bay Village City Schools, Berea City Schools, Bethany Lutheran, Bio Phlebotomy Career and Training Program, Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools, Brooklyn City Schools, Cleveland College Preparatory School.

More closures include Constellation Schools (multiple locations), Fairview Park City Schools, Global Ambassadors Language Academy, Holy Name High School, Independence Local Schools, Lake Erie Preparatory School, Lakewood Catholic Academy, Lutheran High East, Lutheran West, Mary Queen of Peace, Messiah Lutheran, Northeast Ohio College Preparatory School, North Olmsted City Schools, North Royalton City Schools, Our Lady of the Lake School.

Also closed include Parma City Schools, Rocky River City Schools, Royal Redeemer Lutheran, St. Benedict, St. Edward-Lakewood, St. Jerome, St. Michael-Independence, St. Rita, University of Cleveland Preparatory School, Washington Park Community School, West Park Academy, and Westlake City Schools.

Medina County schools affected include Black River Local Schools, Brunswick City Schools, Medina County Career Center, and Wadsworth City Schools. In Lorain County, Alpha Care Lorain, Constellation Schools (Elyria and Lorain locations), Lorain Bilingual Academy, and Triad Residential Solutions will be closed.

Tuscarawas County closures include Buckeye Career Center, Claymont City Schools, Garaway Local Schools, Indian Valley Local Schools, New Philadelphia City Schools, and Newcomerstown Exempted Village Schools.

Other affected districts include Ashtabula County (Ashtabula Co. Technical and Career-Day, Buckeye Local Schools, Geneva Area City Schools, Grand Valley Local Schools), Carroll County (Carroll Hills Schools, Carrollton Exempted Village), Wayne County (Chippewa Local Schools, Triway Local Schools), Trumbull County (Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools), Portage County (Streetsboro City Schools), Lake County (Lake Catholic), Geauga County (Creative Learning Workshop-Newbury, Love’s Learning Loft 2, Solid Rock Adult Day Services), and Stark County (Stark State College campuses).

Additionally, Celina City Schools and Sidney City Schools will be closed, while Dayton Public Schools will operate remotely.
