OHIO — Several school districts across Ohio announced delays and closures for Tuesday due to a combination of weather-related concerns, heating issues, and illness.
Madison Plains Local Schools in Madison County and Miami Trace Local Schools in Fayette County will operate on a two-hour delay.
Wellston City Schools in Jackson County also reported a two-hour delay for Tuesday. Oak Hill Union Local Schools announced that it will open two hours late as well.
Two facilities in the region, ALC West/East and Westwood Preschool, will be closed on Tuesday. School officials said both closures are the result of heating system repairs that must be completed before students can return.
Additionally, Akron Preparatory School in Summit County will be closed Tuesday due to widespread illness affecting students and staff.
Families are encouraged to check with their local school districts for any additional updates as conditions may change.
