MARYLAND — Several school systems across Maryland’s Eastern Shore have announced closures, delays and virtual learning days for Tuesday, February 24, 2026, as winter weather continues to impact the region.

Dorchester County Public Schools, which serves Dorchester and Cambridge, will operate virtually for the entire day Tuesday, including morning, afternoon and evening activities.

Caroline County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday. Somerset County Public Schools, Wicomico County Public Schools and Worcester County Public Schools have also announced full closures for the day.

Cecil County Public Schools will open two hours late Tuesday morning. Kent County Public Schools and Queen Anne’s County Public Schools will each operate on a 90-minute delay.

The schedule adjustments are being made out of caution due to hazardous road conditions. Parents and staff are encouraged to review official district alerts and communications for additional information or any further changes.
