KENTUCKY — Several schools across Kentucky have announced closings or delayed openings for Tuesday, December 2, due to winter weather and safety concerns.
Fort Knox Community Schools in Hardin County will be closed for both morning and afternoon sessions, while the Fort Knox Military Post will open two hours late in the morning.
Lakeside Christian Academy in Morehead, Morgan County Head Start (operating virtually), Rowan County schools, and Micah Christian School will be closed for the day. Rowan County is observing a non-traditional instruction day.
Floyd County Head Start will operate on a two-hour delay, and Boyd County Public Schools will observe a regular snow day, with all students expected back on Wednesday.
Officials are urging parents, students, and staff to monitor school websites for updates and exercise caution while traveling. Safety remains the top priority as winter weather impacts the region.
