KENTUCKY — Across the Bluegrass State, winter weather continues to disrupt the school week with a mix of delayed openings and full closures scheduled for Monday. Several districts are starting classes later to give transportation crews extra time to clear roads and ensure student safety.

Delayed openings on Monday, February 9 include:

• Boyle County Schools – One-hour delay
• Fleming County Schools – Two-hour delay
• Garrard County Schools – One-hour delay
• Marion County Schools – One-hour delay
• Mercer County Schools – One-hour delay
• Montgomery County Schools – One-hour delay

Several counties will not hold in-person classes

Monday due to unsafe conditions:
• Clay County Schools – Closed (NTI day)
• Estill County Schools – Closed
• Jessamine County Schools – Closed
• Knox County Schools – Closed (NTI day)
• Lee County Schools – Closed (snow day)
• Menifee County Schools – Closed

Families are encouraged to check individual district websites or alert systems for any late-breaking changes, as decisions can shift with overnight weather developments.
