
OHIO — Numerous school districts across Ohio have announced closures, delays, and program cancellations for Monday, December 15, 2025, affecting students and families in several regions of the state. The changes come as districts respond to conditions impacting travel and school operations.
Several districts have canceled classes entirely, including Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools, Circleville City Schools, Fairfield Union Local Schools, Federal Hocking Local Schools, Franklin Local Schools, Liberty Union-Thurston Local Schools, Licking Valley Local Schools, Miami Trace Local Schools, New Lexington City Schools, Newark Catholic Schools, Newcomerstown Exempted Village Schools, Oak Hill Union Local Schools, Pickaway-Ross County Joint Vocational School, Ridgewood Local Schools, River View Local Schools, Union-Scioto Local Schools, Vinton County Local Schools, and Walnut Township Local Schools. In southern Ohio, Ironton City Schools, Ironton Catholic Schools, Portsmouth City Schools, Portsmouth STEM Academy, and Notre Dame Schools are also closed.
Other districts will operate on a two-hour delay, including Clark-Shawnee Local Schools, Coshocton City Schools, Granville Christian Academy, Newark City Schools, Northeastern Local School District, Par Excellence Academy, Springfield City Schools, Springfield–Clark County Career Technology Center, Triad Local Schools, Fayetteville-Perry Local Schools, Talawanda City Schools, Williamsburg Local Schools, and New Miami Local Schools, which also canceled morning preschool programs.
Additionally, several Head Start and early childhood programs are canceled, including Coshocton County Head Start, Coshocton County Early Head Start, Foxfire Community Schools, and Southeastern Local School District in Chillicothe.
