OHIO — Winter weather has led to widespread school closures and delays across Ohio for Wednesday.
Hazardous road conditions prompted many districts to modify their schedules, with some schools shutting down entirely.
Among the closures are St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Schools in Montgomery County, Amanda Clearcreek Local Schools, Fairfield Union Local Schools, Franklin Local Schools, Jackson City Schools, Logan Elm School District, Miami Trace Local Schools, New Lexington City Schools, and Vinton County Local Schools.
Several schools have announced two-hour delays, including Beavercreek City School District, Fairborn City Schools, Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools, Clark-Shawnee Local Schools, Bloom-Carroll Local Schools, Circleville City Schools, and Foxfire Community Schools.
Additionally, government officials in Athens, Hocking, Jackson, Morgan, Ross, Scioto, and Vinton counties have declared Level 2 snow emergencies, urging drivers to use extreme caution.
