OHIO — Winter weather conditions have prompted numerous school closures and delays across Ohio.
Many districts and institutions announced closures to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The following schools are closed: Fairfield Union Local Schools, New Lexington City Schools, Vinton County Local Schools, Northern Local Schools, Liberty Union-Thurston Local Schools, Pickaway-Ross County JVS, Logan-Hocking Local Schools, Miami Trace Local Schools, Bloom-Carroll Local Schools, Groveport Community School, Walnut Township Local Schools, Teays Valley Local Schools, Madison-Plains Local Schools, and Jefferson Local Schools.
Columbus-based institutions have also been affected. The Ohio State University canceled in-person classes, and Columbus State Community College is operating remotely.
Clark State College is closed for the day.
Coshocton City Schools announced a two-hour delay. Other closures include smaller institutions such as Bishop Flaget School in Ross County and Amanda Clearcreek Local Schools in Fairfield County.
