LOUISIANA — A police pursuit late Friday night ended in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in West Baton Rouge Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.
Troopers said the pursuit began around 11 p.m. on I-10 eastbound. During the chase, the suspect vehicle crossed the interstate median near milepost 147 and collided with a vehicle traveling westbound.
The impact caused the westbound vehicle to flip several times, according to its occupants.
Three people inside the overturned vehicle sustained minor injuries, officials said.
Authorities said the suspect vehicle later left the roadway and crashed near the interstate. The driver then fled the scene on foot, but was located several hours later and taken into custody.
Officials have not yet released the suspect’s identity or possible charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
