
PENNSYLVANIA — Several people were injured Tuesday morning in a crash on Route 30 in East Hempfield Township, according to the Mountville Fire Company.
The collision, involving a dump truck and two other vehicles, occurred around 7:50 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near the Centerville Road exit.
Fire crews reported that one person was trapped inside a car wedged under the back of the dump truck. The individual was extricated by rescue teams.
At least two people were transported to a hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
The crash temporarily closed all eastbound lanes of Route 30 between the Mountville/Stoney Battery Road exit and the Route 741/Millersville/Rohrerstown exit. Authorities have since reopened all lanes.
