Multiple people injured following vehicle crash in Michigan

MICHIGAN — A serious crash in Plainfield Township left multiple people injured Tuesday afternoon and forced the closure of a busy roadway in Kent County.

According to the Plainfield Township Fire Department, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Northland Drive and 7 Mile Road. Authorities described the incident as serious and confirmed that several individuals were hurt.

Northbound Northland Drive was closed between 7 Mile Road and West River Drive as emergency crews responded to the scene. Drivers were urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while first responders worked to assist victims and investigate the crash.

Multiple agencies responded, including the Michigan State Police, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, Rockford Ambulance and Life Ambulance, in addition to the Plainfield Township Fire Department.

Officials have not yet released details about the extent of the injuries or the cause of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
