Multiple people arrested following large drug seizures in Virginia

VIRGINIA — A multi-agency warrant operation led by the Roanoke Police Department (RPD) and the U.S. Marshals Regional Task Force resulted in dozens of arrests and significant drug and weapon seizures over a five-day period earlier this month.

The operation, conducted from Monday, Nov. 10 through Friday, Nov. 14, resulted in the service of 67 felony warrants and 33 misdemeanor warrants. Officers also issued 348 summonses and made two DUI arrests, according to RPD.

Law enforcement recovered three rifles, five handguns, an ounce of cocaine, 67 grams of fentanyl, three OxyContin pills, 160 grams of cannabis, $3,000 in cash, and one stolen vehicle.

Notable arrests included:

  • Jawawn Hale, 43, of Roanoke — Wanted for violation of probation on a second-degree murder charge.
  • Thomas Simmons, 27, of Roanoke — Wanted for violation of probation on a cocaine distribution charge.
  • Terry Thompson, 38, of Franklin County — Wanted on multiple child sex offense charges, including four counts of rape of a child under 13 and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
  • Cody Thurman, 31, of Franklin County — Wanted for probation violations tied to three robbery charges and one firearm charge.
  • Hunter Hall, 27, of Vinton — Wanted for failure to appear on malicious wounding and property damage charges, as well as additional failure to appear warrants from Vinton Police.
  • Andre Alexander, 25, of Lynchburg — Wanted for malicious wounding.
  • Saadiah Clore, 29, of Roanoke — Arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing a firearm while under a protective order.
  • Arif Osman, 37, of Roanoke — Wanted for burglary, possession of a scheduled narcotic, and larceny.
  • Angelo Fuller, 37, of Roanoke — Wanted for probation violations on a felon-in-possession charge and DUI.
  • Tyshea Cunningham, 26, of Roanoke — Wanted for failure to appear.
  • Audrey Fudge, 49, of Roanoke — Wanted for 18 counts of failure to register as a sex offender.
  • John Breedlove, 44, of Roanoke — Wanted for four counts of failing to register as a sex offender.

RPD said the effort included support from numerous agencies, including the Virginia State Police, Star City Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Roanoke County Police, Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Bedford Police Department, Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

The operation remains ongoing.
