SOUTH CAROLINA — Several people were arrested on drug-related charges following a law enforcement operation Tuesday morning in Florence County, according to Sheriff T.J. Joye.
The operation took place off Stagecoach Road and involved multiple deputies with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office. Residents in the surrounding community reported seeing a large law enforcement presence in the area as authorities carried out the operation.
Officials said several individuals were taken into custody on drug charges, though the names of those arrested and specific details about the charges have not yet been released.
Sheriff Joye said additional information about the arrests and the investigation is expected to be released later Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
