GEORGIA — A two-month investigation into illegal drug and firearms activity in Lyons has led to multiple arrests and serious charges, according to the Lyons Police Department.
On Monday, officers executed a search warrant at a home within the city, uncovering a significant cache of illegal items.
Police said they recovered numerous loaded firearms, loaded magazines, several boxes of ammunition, large quantities of illegal narcotics, and various drug-related paraphernalia.
During the search, officers also found several juveniles inside the home, ranging in age from toddlers to teenagers. The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services was called to the scene to assess the welfare of the children.
As a result of the investigation, Cody Alamia, Juston Carroll, and Cheylyn Cowart were arrested and charged. A juvenile was also charged with felony obstruction and sale of marijuana.
The investigation remains ongoing.
