Multiple inches of snow possible in parts of Michigan Monday

MICHIGAN — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for several counties in Michigan, effective from 8 p.m. Sunday, March 23, until 8 p.m.

Monday, March 24. The affected counties include Manistee, Missaukee, and Wexford.

Meteorologists anticipate total snow accumulations between 3 to 6 inches, accompanied by wind gusts reaching up to 40 mph.

These conditions are expected to make travel “very difficult,” with hazardous situations potentially impacting both the Monday morning and evening commutes.

Residents are advised to exercise caution while traveling, as visibility and road conditions may change rapidly over short distances due to lake effect snow.

The weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry conditions just a few miles away, leading to rapid changes in visibility and road conditions.

Residents are urged to stay updated on the latest weather conditions and take necessary precautions during this period.
