KENTUCKY — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of eastern, south-central, and southeastern Kentucky, warning of accumulating snow and hazardous travel conditions.

The advisory is in effect from midnight Saturday through Sunday night, with some areas experiencing snowfall into early Monday morning.

Most areas can expect between one and three inches of snow, while northeast and southeast Kentucky could see accumulations of two to five inches.

In McCreary, Pulaski, and Wayne counties, snowfall is expected to reach up to two inches.

Snow will begin late Saturday night and continue throughout Sunday, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions.

Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution, as roads may become slippery with reduced visibility in snow showers.

The hazardous conditions could also impact Monday morning commutes in some areas. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on weather forecasts and check road conditions at GoKY.ky.gov.
