
TEXAS — More than 1,200 homes and businesses across Texas were without electricity Wednesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, approximately 1,238 customers statewide were experiencing outages out of more than 15.5 million customers tracked. That represents about 0.01% of customers across Texas.
Atascosa County reported the highest number of outages, with 518 customers without power. Live Oak County followed with 237 outages, while Denton County had 139 customers without electricity.
Other counties reporting outages included Harris County with 64 customers affected, Montgomery County with 52 outages, and Karnes County with 33.
Among electric providers, Karnes Electric Cooperative reported the most customers without power, with 804 outages. CoServ Electric reported 139 outages, while CenterPoint Energy reported 76. Rio Grande Electric Cooperative and Entergy also reported smaller numbers of customers affected.
Officials have not released details about the causes of the outages. Restoration efforts are ongoing as utilities work to restore service to affected customers.
