
OHIO — More than 1,700 homes and businesses are without electricity across Ohio as of Wednesday morning, according to outage tracking data.
Officials reported approximately 1,755 customers without power statewide, representing about 0.03% of more than 5.4 million customers being tracked. While the overall percentage remains low, outages are still impacting several areas across the state.
The largest number of outages was reported in Hardin County, where more than 500 customers were without power. Franklin County and Cuyahoga County also reported several hundred outages.
Additional outages were reported in Athens County, along with smaller numbers in other counties across the state.
Among utility providers, American Electric Power Ohio reported the highest number of outages, with nearly 700 customers affected. Mid-Ohio Energy also reported a notable number of outages and the highest percentage of customers impacted.
Crews are working to restore service as officials continue to monitor conditions statewide.
