
KENTUCKY — Nearly 1,800 homes and businesses across Kentucky are without electricity as of Friday morning, according to the latest outage data.
PowerOutage.us reports that 1,739 customers are currently without power statewide, representing about 0.07% of the more than 2.4 million customers tracked.
Boyd County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 678 customers affected. Jefferson County follows with 568 outages, while smaller numbers are reported in Kenton County with 90, Harrison County with 71, and Logan County with 69. Carter, Jackson, and Lawrence counties are also experiencing scattered outages.
By percentage, Boyd County is the hardest hit, with nearly 3% of customers without power.
Among utility providers, Kentucky Power reports the largest number of outages, with 755 customers affected. Kentucky Utilities follows with 593 outages, while Duke Energy and several cooperatives report smaller numbers.
Statewide, Kentucky ranks among the top states in the nation for outages Friday morning, both in total numbers and percentage of customers affected.
