GEORGIA — More than 1,600 customers across Georgia are without electricity as of Saturday morning, according to outage tracking data.

PowerOutage.us reports approximately 1,637 homes and businesses are without power statewide, representing about 0.03% of the more than 5.3 million customers tracked.

The highest number of outages has been reported in Paulding County, where 434 customers are without power. Clarke County follows closely with 432 outages, while Fulton County is reporting 295.

Additional outages have been reported in Gilmer County with 165 customers affected, along with smaller numbers in Pickens County, Baldwin County, Dooly County and Cobb County.

Among utility providers, Georgia Power reports the largest number of outages with 631 customers affected. GreyStone Power Corporation reports 434 outages, while College Park Power has 289 outages and the highest percentage of customers impacted at about 3%.

Officials say outage numbers can change as crews continue working to restore service.

Residents are urged to report outages to their local utility providers and to avoid downed power lines.

The outages remain under active monitoring as restoration efforts continue statewide.
