PENNSYLVANIA — Human remains discovered during a search for a missing man in Clearfield County are believed to be those of a 72-year-old man, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Authorities said a large-scale search effort was launched in connection with the disappearance of Gary L. Keller. An additional search was conducted March 31, 2026, in the area of Anderson Creek Road in Union Township, involving state police, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
During that search, investigators located human remains. Based on evidence found at the scene, officials said the remains are presumed to be Keller. The remains have been sent to a medical examiner for positive identification.
Police said no foul play is suspected at this time, but the case remains open pending the results of the medical examiner’s investigation.
Officials have not released additional details as the investigation continues.
