OHIO — A 3-year-old girl reported missing on Tuesday evening has been found safe, Cleveland police announced Wednesday.
According to authorities, Zyna Hamdan was reported missing after her mother failed to appear in court to surrender custody to the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services.
A judge had issued an emergency custody order for the child.
Police said the girl was last seen with her mother near the 7000 block of Harvard Avenue before being located on Wednesday.
She is now in the custody of Children and Family Services.
Her mother has been arrested, and charges are pending, police said.
